MUSIC ON THE MIND #FestySeason2019

It’s never too early in the year to start thinking about the upcoming music festival season. 2019 promises amazing things for our fellow fest heads, so it’s time to start planning! Grab your boots, your sunnies, and your sense of adventure, because 2019 is going to be epic.

This list is by no means exhaustive, but it gives you a taste of what you can expect from the top music festivals for the Spring/Summer of 2019.

 

Bonnaroo
Our personal fav, you can experience 10 stages with a lineup of over 150 musical acts and other performers, the music goes on for three days in June in Manchester, Tennessee. This year, acts such as Phish, Childish Gambino, Solange, Post Malone, Brockhampton, Odesza, The National, The Lumineers, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile and Walk the Moon will be performing. And when you need to take a break from the music, you can slip over to the Mamie booth to play dress up with your favorite hippies :)


Woodstock 50-year Anniversary Tour
The finalized deets of Woodstock are still up in the air but can you imagine the epic-ness??  Watkins Glen, NY will hold the coveted 50th Anniversary celebration of the original Woodstock Festival in mid-August. Put together by the dude who co-created the 1969 Woodstock (Michael Lang), specific acts will not be announced until tickets goon sale in February. There will be 3 stages with over 40 acts on the bill, some of them very big names. The eclectic line-up will include hip-hop, rock and some of the legacy bands from the original festival.  You can count on us to load up our digs in a flower power school bus and show up at this one!

Lollapalooza
Held in Chicago in Early August, Lollapalooza had its humble beginnings in 1991and the music hasn’t stopped since then. With eight stages and over 170 acts performing, it is the biggest Midwest Festival around. With Chow Town for your eating pleasure, an art market, many photogenic spots for that special Insta post, and even a mini-fest for the kiddos.  Rock & Roll!

Firefly 
Dover, Delaware hosts Firefly in June with not only great music, but a poster design contest, sports, crafty vendors, meetups and volunteer opportunities.  Some of the acts in the lineup include Panic! At the Disco, Zedd, Louis the Child, Awolnation, Courtney Barnett, and X
Ambassadors. 

Coachella
Coachella has become the place for the best of the best in festival fashion and major celeb spotting.  Held in April, it includes activity tents with games and giveaways, and a D.I.Y. domain to let your own creativity flow. This year’s lineup includes Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, DJ Snake, Jaden Smith, Janelle Monae, Nina Kraviz, Nocturnal Sunshine, Ratboy, Solange, Tame Impala and Weezer.

High Water Fest
High Water Festival is a newer fest in Charleston, S.C. that provides amazing music, local food with Southern flare, an artist market and locally crafted libations.  You can rock out to Leon Bridges, Shovels and Rope, Lord Huron, Dr. Dog, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Secret Sisters, Thelma & the Sleaze and Phosphorescent under the shade of a southern palm tree.  Who is up for some live music and southern cuisine?  Oysters, anyone?

 

So whatever line up you babes find yourselves at this season, be sure not to get caught without your Mamie xo
