Mamie-fying Winter Fashion
When it comes to music festivals, sunshine and the coast, we’ve got the style pretty much nailed down. However, winter wear is a whole different game.
We’re not really willing to sacrifice color for all black or trade our typical prints for plaid. That said, I wanted to show y’all how we styled our signature pieces for the winter season!
The Retro Floral Maxi Skirt:
This skirt is one of festival staple pieces and is has been for years. I have personally worn in running through the fountain at Bonnaroo, dancing away to Fleetwood Mac, but now that it's cooling down, it's time to rework the usual bikini top I pair with it. For this shoot, we styled it with a vintage silk button down tucked into the front. I accessorized with a white alligator belt, turquoise bolo tie and a felt hat. Of course, given that it is winter now, we finished it off with a vintage inspired fringe leather jacket and white cowboy boots.

Canadian Tuxedo Jimi Bells:
One of our most popular swimsuit prints made it's way onto a pair of our Jimi bells in time for the holidays. These pants have an extra wide bell and lace up detail. Don't worry, they still have an elastic waist and have a ton of stretch (perfect for those big holiday meals or a quick football match after family dinner.) Here we styled them with a white balloon sleeve vintage blouse with a high neck and button details. We kept it simple with a felt hat and electric blue gogo boots, duh.

Gypset Roo Dress:
We don't get formal very often, but when we do, we make sure it is still a standout outfit. Rainbows and neutrals are one of the best combos, so we paired our retro-inspired silhouette with an oversized vintage fur. To finish the look, we added a vintage headscarf, oversized sunnies and white boots. Not going to lie, this look made us feel like super celebrities, so we highly recommend.

Janis Jumpsuit:
This is by far the most iconic look Mamie Ruth has to offer. Inspired by Emily's accessible look on season 3 of Making the Cut, we turned this style velvet and made it a must-have for the winter (and honestly all seasons after that.) We let the jumpsuit shine with this looks, just adding some funky gogo boots and silver jewelry to make this look shimmer.

Modern Minimalist Jimi Bells:
Needless to say, we are NOT going minimalist with this look. We know purple and orange compliment each-other, so we turned it up a notch. We added another vintage silk shirt as the base layer to this look. On top, we have a vintage sequin tank top because layer is the go-to for winter. Again, tied with a bolo and white boots, this looks is legit perfect for any holiday party, wine tasting or evening on the town.

Ruffle Shorts:
We love our ruffle shorts. We love them so much, we are willing to be a little cold in order to wear them. Here we have them styled with a long sleeve silk shirt with a lace collar and our very own granny square top acting as a vest. We think this is super grandpa chic and very in. To top it off, we have another fringe leather jacket and a felt hat. I can guarantee people will be wanting to know all the details of this fit.
