Life on the Farm ((BONNAROO))

Posted on
You could consider this my love letter to Bonnaroo.
Hope all is well guys, life has been pretty crazy over here at Mamie. Last week we packed up  our tents, fanny packs, and good vibes and headed out to Manchester, TN for a whole weekend in what I consider paradise. The only way to describe Bonnaroo is a lot of dust, a lot of sweaty people and a lot of fun.
Once we had our booth set up, the people started flowing.
One of the greatest parts of Bonnaroo is the people there. You have never seen a more diverse, funky, hilarious, or joyful  group than the Bonnaroo crew. From the people wearing next to nothing to the people in full pajama sets, the people dancing even when there is no music to the people asleep by a tree during Bassnecter (and thats hard to do), and from the people who will run up and hug you to.. no wait, everyone will hug you.

Let's talk music. Once we figured out which stage was the What stage and what stage was the Which stage and this tent and that tent and the other tent (big thanks to whoever named the stages for helping us get lost), we got to see some of the most incredible music we have seen live. There are too many highlights to even name but there was definitely a whole lot of dancing involved.

Between the music, the fountain, and the waterslide, we had some downtime to hang out at the booth.

We got to meet some great people during our face paint happy hour each day.
We also got a chance to hang out with Phoebe Ryan, Amelia from Sylvan Esso, and Kacey Musgraves when they stopped by the booth! It was awesome to meet them and see them rocking some Mamie. Aside from performers, we also got to hang out with some badass industry folks.
Emily got photographed by the well known photographer Danny Clinch, who has taken photographs of Tupac, Bruce Springsteen, and Johnny Cash. You can see his work at www.dannyclinch.com.
Even after 6 days of very few showers, porta-potties, and late nights, life on the Farm was nothing short of our own paradise. See you next year ‘Roo, keep radiating positivity.
Xoxo, Madison
